# Comments and activity on records

> How to use comments on properties, units, equipment, people and companies, and how to read the activity tab.

All entries in **Bewirtschaftung** (Property management) have comments and an activity tab. This is how you keep knowledge about an object and see what has happened there.

## Comments

You find comments in the sidebar under **Kommentare** (Comments) on **Liegenschaften** (properties), **Einheiten** (units), **Ausstattung** (equipment), **Personen** (people) and **Unternehmen** (companies). Use them for internal notes that belong to the entry, for example "Owner wants to be consulted before orders above CHF 2,000" or "Keys are with the caretaker".

    Open the **Kommentare** section in the sidebar and enter your text.

    The comment appears with your name and timestamp and is visible to all users with access to the entry.

  In **Aufgaben** (Tasks), comments work similarly, and there you can additionally mention colleagues with @. The mentioned person receives a notification via the bell in the header.

## The activity tab

The **Aktivität** (Activity) tab shows the chronicle of an entry:

* **Events**: field changes, new links, status changes.
* **Linked tasks**: all tasks connected to the property, unit, equipment, person or company.
* **Emails**: incoming and outgoing messages related to the entry.

Above the list you can search, sort and filter, for example to show only tasks or only emails. This way you quickly find what was discussed about an appliance three months ago.

## Counters and plus button

* Tab titles show a counter, e.g. **Einheiten (12)** or **Aktivität (48)**, so you can see without clicking whether content exists.
* Every tab has a plus button to create a new entry directly, for example a unit in the **Einheiten** tab or a document in the **Dokumente** tab.

## Linking tasks and entries

Tasks and entries are connected in both directions:

* In a task, you set property, unit, equipment and contact in the task context. For automatically created tasks, mory fills in these details itself.
* On the entry, the tasks appear in the **Aktivität** tab and in the **Offene Aufgaben** (Open tasks) column of the lists.
* Tasks can also be linked to each other, for example when several reports have the same cause.

  Use comments for lasting knowledge about the object and the activity tab for the history. Whatever is discussed in a specific task belongs in the task itself.
