# Handover protocol app

> How to document apartment handovers on site with the handover protocol app and store the signed protocol in mory.

The handover protocol app (**Übergabeprotokoll-App**) is a separate app for apartment handovers on site. It reads master data from mory, guides you through the protocol and stores the signed PDF back in mory. This page explains the process from finding the unit to filing the document.

## When to use the app

The app is used for every apartment handover: move-in, move-out and tenant change. The related checklists contain the handover as a dedicated step (for example "Übergabeprotokoll erstellen" or "Übergabeprotokoll abschliessen").

## Process at a glance

    In the app, first search for the property (**Liegenschaft**), then the unit (**Einheit**) and finally select the tenant. The search reads directly from the data in mory.

  <Step title="Check master data">
    The app shows the master data from mory: organisation (**Organisation**), owner or client entity (**Mandant**), the responsible manager of the property and the tenancy with its parties. Terminated tenancies are shown as current tenants so that you have the right party in front of you at move-out.

  <Step title="Fill in the protocol">
    Go through the apartment room by room and record condition, meter readings, keys and defects.

  <Step title="Sign">
    Both parties sign directly in the app.

  <Step title="Store the PDF in mory">
    After completion, the app generates a signed PDF and stores it back in mory: in the **Dokumente** (Documents) tab of the unit and, if available, in the related task (**Aufgabe**).

## Sending the protocol to the parties

If you want to send the protocol to the tenant or owner, send the PDF as an attachment from the task using **Verfassen** (Compose).

## Following up on defects

Defects recorded during the handover are processed in mory afterwards. The move-in, move-out and tenant change workflows contain a dedicated step for this: create one damage task per defect, which mory then handles like a regular damage case.

  After the handover, open the move-in or move-out task. The protocol is already in the **Dokumente** tab and the checklist takes you to the next step.
